May Update

It has been a busy couple of weeks at Creek and Timber Legacy! We had the privilege to take 5 veterans on a hunting and a fishing trip. We are also so thankful for the incredible volunteers that help us with each one of our adventures and the incredible donors that make this happen.

Volunteers

At Creek and Timber we are so thankful for the help of many volunteers to make our program run properly. We are always in need of more volunteers. If you are looking for a way to get involved we have many opportunities. The opportunities we offer range from hunts to social media to back end office work. We appreciate all that our volunteers do!

Our Why

Veterans who suffer from PTSD experience fervent responses to stimuli, like flashbacks, anxiety, and combative or protective behavior. The intensity of this hyperarousal can cause veterans to avoid experiences that trigger symptoms and become emotionally numb, detached, or withdrawn.

At Creek and Timber Legacy we want to give back through our passion for the great outdoors. We send our heroes to guided hunting or fishing as an experiential therapy. It addresses their hidden or repressed feelings through hunting and fishing and allowing them to interact without fear of judgement or outside interference.
